• Addressing the root causes of sexual violence including cultural beliefs about power and traditional gender roles

• Promoting healthy relationships that include:
  • increased self-esteem & self-efficacy
  • effective interpersonal boundaries
  • understandings of gender expression beyond power, violence and sexuality
• Increasing social-activism and leadership skills – creating opportunities for boys and men to be equally responsible for preventing sexual assault as girls and women
• Educating community members how to help and support others
