  • Anyone who has been affected by sexual violence.

It does not matter when the assault occurred or if the crime has been reported.

SAVA also provides services and support for family members and loved ones of someone who has been assaulted.

  • Not if you are over the age of 18. If you are interested in reporting, SAVA advocates can help you with the process, but you do not have to report to receive SAVA services.

**All SAVA staff and advocates are mandated reporters which means if anyone under the age of 18 is at risk/being abused/neglected, or a known perpetrator has access to minors, we are required to make a report.

See the next question for more details on individuals under 18.

  • All SAVA staff and volunteers are mandated reporters. This means if we hear of someone under the age of 18 who is at risk or being abused and cannot verify a report has been made via a case number, we will be required to do so.
