Sarah was born and raised in Tempe, Arizona. She received a B.A. in Communication from Arizona State University. After college, she worked for a non-profit organization in Phoenix, but soon moved to Colorado for graduate school in 2013. During her master’s program at Colorado State University she committed herself to studying sexual assault, which prompted her to seek a volunteer position with SAVA. Upon receiving her M.A. in Communication, Sarah joined SAVA’s staff in August 2015. She is very excited to be in the classroom working with high school students on prevention education. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling, reading, bird watching, playing Scrabble, and spending time with pets and loved ones.
