A recent graduate from Colorado State University, Julia earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies. While attending CSU, Julia volunteered at the GLBT Office on campus with Visible Voice, a program where students have the opportunity to speak with their peers in a classroom setting about being an ally to the GLBT community. During her Senior Spring semester Julia was a SAVA Center intern in the Prevention Department with the SART Peers Program and was excited to have the opportunity to join SAVA’s team in June 2013. Julia’s initial interest in sexual violence prevention and victim advocacy began during her semester in India where she worked with women and children from the slums who were victims of sexual violence. Having grown up in Steamboat Springs Julia has a passion for all things snow and outdoor related. If she could ski and snowboard everyday she would.
