Free and Confidential Support

You are not alone.

If you or someone you know has experienced sexual violence, SAVA is here to help. Whether the incident occurred recently or decades ago, we want to support you through your healing process.

Continue reading for information about our advocacy services generally or select the type of services you’d like to learn more about.

Adult Primary Survivors

SAVA provides services for all individuals who have experienced a sexual assault during their lifetime. Healing after a sexual assault can be a difficult and complex process.

Child Primary Survivors

Child sexual abuse occurs when a child is used as an object for the sexual gratification of an adult or caregiver through manipulation, exploitation, threats, or physical force.

Family and Friends
(Secondary Survivors)

Sexual violence affects more than just the victim. It affects the loved ones of the survivor as well. Learning that someone you care about has been victimized takes an emotional toll.

General Advocacy

There are various services and resources available related to sexual assault. We can support you in accessing these and connect you with other community providers to ensure your interests and needs are being met.

SAVA offers a variety of free advocacy services to survivors and their loved ones:

Drop-in Advocacy

If you prefer to speak to an advocate in person, you can come into our Fort Collins office Mon-Fri 8:30am – 5:00pm. You can also call to schedule an appointment for any of our 3 offices.

Legal Advocacy

If you are interested in reporting to law enforcement, we can help and support you during the reporting process, attend court hearings, and provide information about criminal and civil justice options, and assistance with filing for Victim’s Compensation. SAVA advocates can facilitate communication between you and law enforcement if requested.

Medical Advocacy

After a Sexual Assault Nurse Examination (SANE), we can assist with navigating bills, and provide additional information on medical resources

Foundations of Support Workshops

Your family and friends may have questions or may want to learn how they can best support you. Our support workshops are designed to support them while you focus on your healing journey. If you have family members or friends who would benefit from these workshops, we can assist them in getting signed up.
